Doug Johnstone
Doug Johnstone is the author of seven novels, most recently the acclaimed The Jump. He is also a freelance journalist, a songwriter and musician, and has a PhD in nuclear physics. Doug was writer in residence at the University of Strathclyde 2010-2012 and before that worked as a lecturer in creative writing. In September 2014, he became a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. With his band, Northern Alliance, he has released four critically acclaimed albums. Currently, he is working on a number of screenplays for film and television.
